A Natural Next Step....

This elaborately hand-carved display case was carved by members of the Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas AND is always filled with carvings by the Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas. The case is now owned by the City of Rogers and can be seen at the Rogers Activity Center.

Thanks to the Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas, I am enjoying the art of Woodcarving. I joined the club about 1-1/2 years ago, but only in recent months have I truly applied myself. This is a very enjoyable hobby. New members are welcome to join our club! Annual dues are $20.00. Carving sessions are Sunday and Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Foxfire Building, one block off West Walnut on S. 37th St. in Rogers, AR and on Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Adult Wellness Center in Rogers. Choose the day(s) that work into your schedule and join us!

For me, the benefits of membership are free lessons, group projects, access to the club's extensive library of books and genuine fellowship with nice people. We also hold potlucks and have an annual show and sale! We welcome new members.

There are so many choices of designs. The spoons from left to right:
woven spoon with puffed heart; tulip spoon, "Z" Spoon; flowing handled
spoon; tasting spoon (pea pod); and lastly, flower vines in relief.
